Autobees ("we", "us", or "our") operates an AI-powered sales agent platform that helps Instagram businesses in Nigeria automate customer conversations. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.
By using Autobees, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the service.
Autobees collects only the information necessary to provide its AI sales agent service. This includes data from both shop owners who use the platform and customers who interact with the AI agent via Instagram Direct Messages.
Customer DM conversations sent to a connected shop's Instagram account, including text and shared images.
The unique Instagram ID of each customer who sends a message, used to maintain conversation continuity.
Business name, Instagram handle, email address, phone number, and WhatsApp contact for platform access.
Instagram posts downloaded during onboarding to build the shop's AI-powered product catalogue.
All data collected by Autobees is used solely to deliver and improve the AI sales agent service. We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Autobees uses the following trusted third-party services to operate. Each service handles data in accordance with its own privacy policy.
Meta (Instagram) — Customer messages are received via the official Meta Messenger API. Message data is subject to Meta's Privacy Policy.
Anthropic Claude API — Customer messages are sent to Anthropic's API to generate AI responses. Anthropic's data handling policies apply.
Supabase — Conversation and product data is stored securely on Supabase servers hosted in the EU.
Cloudinary — Product images are stored and delivered via Cloudinary's cloud infrastructure.
Conversation data is retained for as long as the associated shop account remains active on the Autobees platform. Shop owners may request deletion of their data and all associated customer conversation records at any time by contacting us.
When a shop account is closed, all data belonging to that account — including customer messages, conversation history, and product data — is permanently deleted within 30 days.
You have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, to request correction of inaccurate data, and to request deletion of your data. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us.
We will respond to all valid requests within 14 business days.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of Autobees after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
